How To Use MARSHINE Standard Optical Fiber Cable Stripping Tool?
Inspect the Stripping Pliers
First, you need to check that the blades are clean and sharp to ensure the tool can opens and closes smoothly. And confirm there is no debris in the stripping grooves. The proper inspection can help to ensures the accurate stripping while preventing fiber damage.
Strip the Outer Fiber Jacket
Next, please open your MARSHINE Standard Fiber Optic Cable Stripping Pliers Optical Fiber Stripping Hand Tool and place the fiber cable into the outer jacket stripping slot. Then close the pliers gently around the cable and pull the pliers straight away from the cable. The outer jacket will be removed cleanly without damaging internal fibers.
Strip the 900μm Buffer
After that, please insert the exposed buffer into the 900μm stripping groove and close the pliers fully but gently. And then pull straight to remove the buffer layer while avoid twisting or bending the fiber during stripping.
Strip the 250μm Coating
Then place the fiber into the 250μm stripping groove and close the pliers carefully to pull and expose the bare glass fiber. Please noted to use smooth, controlled motion to avoid nicking the fiber.
Clean and Inspect the Fiber
Finally, after stripping, you need to wipe the bare fiber with alcohol wipes to check for smoothness and cleanliness, please ensure there are no scratches or coating residue, that's because clean fiber is essential for low-loss splicing and connector installation.
