What Is MARSHINE Overhead Line Tandem Mounting Roller?
The MARSHINE Overhead Line Tandem Double Reel Mounting Roller is a mechanical overhead line equipment for Overhead Conductor installation, suitable with double conductor (wire bundle) or twin-bundle conductors. The tandem roller with two reels tandem-design allows two cables to be led simultaneously, favors a balanced tension, reduces friction and increases the efficiency of installation. It has been successfully applied for many years in high precision power transmission and distribution projects with cable protection requirements.

How To Use MARSHINE Overhead Line Tandem Mounting Roller Properly?
Preparation
Before you start to use the MARSHINE Overhead Line Tandem Double Reel Mounting Roller, please:
Examine The Roller Assembly
Both reels should be able to rotate smoothly and please look for any cracks, deformation, or dust.
Check Cable Compatibility
The diameter of the conductors should fit the size of the roller groove.
Inspect Mounting Hardware
Make sure that all the brackets, bolts, and clamps are tightly fastened and that none are rusted or otherwise compromised.
Select tower or pole locations for roller installations.
Wear safety equipment helmets gloves and fall protection utilize the necessary safety equipment helmets, gloves and fall protection when working at heights.
Installing the Roller
Choose a Location
Install rollers on the poles, crossarms, or towers along the cable route.
Make sure the location is consistent with the conductor route.
Attach the Roller
Fasten the roller to the beam with the supplied base and the two small wood screws.
Tighten all the bolts/fittings firmly so they don't move while you're using them.
Align the Roller
Set the reels so that they move in unison, with the reels straddling the conductors.
The alignment also allows for the easy movement of the cable without the wires cross or twist.
Feeding the Conductors
After the roller is in place:
Arrange The Conductors
Raise both cables with hoists or lifts and lay them on the two reels.
Check Positioning
Each roller groove should securely hold a single conductor.
Begin The Pull
Apply a winch or tensioner to the conductors and pull them together through the rollers.
Keep Tension Equal
Pull both conductors at the same speed, to prevent any imbalance or twisting.
Watch The Motion
Watch the two cables as they roll between the rollers.
