Trim the Coaxial Cable
First, trim the cable.
Use a cable cutter for a clean and straight cut.
Do not crush or deform the cable when cutting.

Strip the Cable
Remove the outer insulation next.
Use a coax cable stripper.
Remove the outer jacket and the dielectric according to the connector's specifications.
Remove the center conductor and braided shielding.

Prepare the Cable Shield

Bend back the braided shield over the jacket.
